Can pictures be saved from my broken laptop(s)?

I have two broken laptops;
one from “old age”- it lasted a good while before the port which connects it to a power source was broken and it can no longer recharge. The other is fairly new, but I spilled wine on it and it doesn’t run anywhere near well anymore.

I have pictures on both that I would like to recover if possible; I don’t want to do it myself but just want to know if the pics are salvagable, and if any commputer repair shop can put them on a USB or something for me?

A shop should be able to remove the hard drives and set them up as externals on another computer to be able to recover the data. You might have to buy an external drive to move the files to (if there were more than would fit on a USB) or if you have another PC, you could probably get them to move the files directly to the new PC.

You might even find that a professional place can fix your plug, at least, they should be able to replace the plug/power source if that’s the only trouble with the laptop. Then again, if it’s old, you might not want to be bothered with that.

Good luck. You know, even if your hard drive crashes, there’s still hope of recovery. Give it a try.
