How do I reinsert the stopper into my MetrokaneVelvet wine pourer with stopper?

I know it sounds stupid, but it came in my stocking working in such a way that the stopper allowed the wine to leave when the bottle was tilted, but didn’t allow air in when bottle was standing. During my travels the stopper came out and now I can’t remember how to reinsert it. The pictures on the Metrokame website don’t help. Can you?

it has a short end that is bent a little this is the end you put in the pourer. Hope this helps.
