Wine or Mount command which is used for windows software?

I am confused abt Wine and mount command.what are the functions of the both. i have heard that Wine is used for windows appliactions while this can be done using mount command also;plz tell me some one how can i use Wine for playing movie from cd.and how can i use mount command to play movie from cd.
also tell me how to use wine and mount command?

Play a Movie:

Download and install the Linux version of VLC player and watch movies with that.

Windows Executables:

Wine is program for Linux that is a portable Windows API. Every time an exe or an msi (not sure) is run wine runs the program. When making a shortcut in the Linux Gui or calling a program from the command line you need to go wine “c: .exe” to run that program through wine.

Mount:

Mount is used for mount hard drive partitions or other storage devices/hardware.
