wine preserver gas
have you heard of a wine preserver?

There used to be a product called a wine preserver. It consisted of a spray can of gas, not sure what gas, the idea was to give a quick spray of the gas into an open and used bottle of wine, the gas was heavier than oxygen and settled on the wine surface, this stopped the wine oxidising and kept it fresh.
Just wondered if it is still available and would it be suitable for whisky?

yes, its common in most home stores
Bed Bath & Beyond carries it near me

no, its no good for whiskey, because that stuff doesn’t go bad… just too much alcohol in that stuff. it might make a difference if you open the bottle, then seal it again for 10 years… but likely even that won’t affect whiskey to a degree which is noticable.
