wine pourer stopper
why does my wine stopper have a screw off top?

my wine stopper has a screw off top and i don’t know why. is it just for decoration or what? it does not double as a pourer, if it is for decaration where would i find other things to screw into it?

First off, I would just have you sit back and ask yourself, “why is this bothering me?” If it’s a stopper, it it made to be either in the bottle or out of it, that’s all. Its sole function is to minimize air and prolong the freshness of the wine best it can.

As for screwing other things into it – is it really that big of a deal? Your stoppers may have other stoppers that you can replace, i.e. seasonal ones for example, but I wouldn’t worry about it. As long as it’s functioning as a wine stopper, you got your money’s worth.
