Are there any hipsters in Maryland?

I just moved from Williamsburg, Brooklyn to Odenton MD. I guess i’m kind of a hipster, used to going to punk shows, or art show openings with my tatted friends, spending picnic time in mccarren park drinking wine surrounded by girls with feathers in their hair and skinny guys with cute little dogs. And now i’m back in Maryland and the scene’s um *cough* different… is there any kind of hipster crowd here in MD? any rock shows? dive bars with pool tables and kids my age? or any thing?

You might want to hit Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring MD or, as mentioned above, head into D.C. for bars like Wonderland (Columbia Heights). The H Street NE corridor is also another up-and-coming neighborhood you might wish to check out for places like the Rock N Roll Hotel or The Red and The Black.
