TEENS: Do you think It’s Better To Give Or Receive?

Around this time of year, when you’ve spent a good chunk of your savings on presents and are sick to death of having to make yet another trip to the mall, you might ask yourself: What’s in it for me?

Admit it: Now that you’ve bought the Kindle and the socks and the Godiva and the wine for everyone on your list, you’re probably wondering what you’re going to get in return.

But is that in the spirit of giving? Is the selfless act of buying presents for other people what the holidays are all about?

Truth is, most of us return or re-gift the majority of our gifts. But there’s nothing like knowing (or thinking) that you’ve selected an absolutely perfect present for someone you care about.

That said, in the rare event that we actually get something we really like, that’s pretty awesome, too.

honestly, between my bf and my family ive spent hundreds of dollars on presents. i didnt make a single christmas list. theres nothing i need or want. my favorite part about receiving is just the surprise of opening it. thats the best part, unwrapping
