Which is better, a jug of wine or a box of wine? ?

I just got this jug thing of wine and I was wondering if it’s better than a box?
Also, why is it considered “trailer park-sih” to drink wine from a box?
If you could reccommend any good brands, that would help.

Actually, boxed wine keeps better after it has been opened because it is stored in a bag and doesn’t allow air in. A bottle allows air in. Air oxidizes wine and makes it go bad.

The “trailer park-ish” thing is just a hold-over from when good wine was served in bottles only. There is a similar “thing” between corks and screwtops; but that one is fading too.

If you prefer your wine from a box; but want to serve it to friends who don’t, just use a decanter.
