what do you think about fitted carpets over tiles in our spanish villa?

We have cream curtains and two cream sofas and cream tiles. I fancy a fitted carpet and thought about going for a wine colour fitted carpet, but worried in case I get fed up of it. Any suggestions please would be appreciated. I do have Royal Albert (country roses china) in our display cabinet so thought the wine colour would pick out the roses

Dont do it. Carpets are unhealthy and trap the dust. They are bad for asthma etc. You would need to hoover every day. Tiled floors have evolved in certain climates because they are cool to walk on and very easy to keep clean.
