How do you get wine to referment?

I thought the wine had completed fermenting, so i racked it into other demijohns and put it into a cellar. After taking a sample to the place i bought the juice from I was told that the sg was at a 1.002. I’d like it to be less appr. .994. I took the wine out of the cellar to see if it would start to referment, but nothings happening. any help would be appreciated

If you’ve already added a metabisulfite to kill the yeast, you are S.O.L. Enjoy it for what it is. If you have filtered the wine, but not killed the yeast, you will have to add new yeast. Champagne yeast will do a good job of fermenting to completion. From your question, I am assuming that you will not need to add sugar. This time, wait until the SG remains constant for three days in a row. Another possibility is that you have a stuck fermentation. In that case, just warming the must will restart the fermentation. Try that first.
