How long will red or white wine be good for after open bottle?

If I open the bottle and pour the contents into a glass decanter with an air proof stopper how long can I store it at room temperature?

An open wine won’t go “off” but the flavour WILL change after one day, regardless of style, price, colour, region, age, etc.

I think that after two days it should be thrown out unless you enjoy the oxidised flavour (yes it oxidises even in a decanter with good seal).
