Yet another style is an aerator that is held over the glass or a decanter, the wine goes through the chamber, or chambers, an flows out of the bottom in to the vessel below. The same result, adding air to the wine for better flavor and aroma.

Still another style is placed on the glass or decanter, and red wine is poured in the top and the oxygenated wine cascades into the container below. This is much the same as the type that is held over the glass, but it does allow you to use your other hand to perhaps steady the glass. Some models come with a stand, which would be used between pours.

Red Wine Aerators are not all the same, choosing the right one for you might take some time, the results in you wine experience will be worth it.
