Wonderful Ideas for Winter Wedding Favors

Winter is a magical time for a wedding and provides no end of inspiration when it comes to your wedding favors.  Wintertime is also the festive season and Christmas offers many different favors ideas which are bound to delight your guests.

 

If you want to offer edible wedding favors then think about luxury liquor chocolates, brownie pops and mini fruit cakes.  Or offer your guests something warming like hot chocolate presented in stylish cups or mini bottles of Brandy with personalized labels.  For something more festive give half bottles of mulled wine or sachets containing mulled wine spices so your guests can make their own at home.

 

For something more decorative have a look at Christmas tree decorations.  These days you will baubles in all shapes and sizes, colors and designs so you do not have to go down the full traditional Christmas route.  Favor stores stock mini stockings which look lovely filled with chocolates and a candy cane.  You can also find personalized Christmas baubles which you can have printed with your names and wedding date, these are sure to be something your guests will unpack every year when they decorate their trees!

 

Candles are very evocative of the winter season and scented candles add a comforting touch to any home.  Choose scents of the season such as cinnamon and apple, mulled wine and ginger and spice but do check them at home first to ensure they are not too overpowering!  Look for scented candles in tea light or votive styles with pretty coordinating holders.  Or if you have a bigger budget give mini candle jars instead with personalized labels.

 

There is an abundance of themed winter wedding favors available also, like snowball candles, snowflake photograph frames and knitted mitten candy holders.  But if you are looking for something more unique then there is no substitute for making your own favors at home.  Think about cookies such as cinnamon biscuits or ginger cakes with white frosting.  Gingerbread men are a fun choice and will give your guests a reminder of their childhoods, but if you are feeling more creative then use cookies cutters to make more interesting gingerbread shapes like mini houses.

 

Finally crystal wedding favors work well at this time of year especially hanging decorations which can be hung in windows to catch the light.  These are fairly inexpensive and come in a choice of shapes and sizes so you could mix and match.
